Our teenage driver's education program has been designed to produce safer, more confident, and more experienced teenage drivers and to combat the problems associated with teenage driving. Our program is taught by state-licensed instructors who are well trained, patient, and understanding. Drivers training classes are available in Poulsbo, Port Orchard, Bremerton, Silverdale & Purdy.

Certification...

Our program is a fully licensed Traffic Safety Education (TSE) program which meets all of the criteria established by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction and the Washington State Department of Licensing.

Program...

The program fee pays for 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours behind-the-wheel (BTW) instruction and 6 hours observation time.

Classes...

Classes are held three days each week for a minimum of five weeks. Behind-the-wheel instruction consists of 6 one-hour lessons scheduled outside class times. Observation consists of observing another student during his/her BTW lesson.

Students unable to complete the entire program in eight weeks are afforded additional time. However, the entire program must be completed with 180 days from start to finish.

Basic Maneuvers/vehicle Control
Traffic Controls: Signs, Signals, and Markings
Driving in the Urban Environment
Driving on Highways and Freeways
Mental and physical factors affecting driving.
Avoid becoming a Road Rage victim.
Adapting to Roadway Variations
Driving under adverse conditions
Vehicle Maintenance
Handling emergency maneuvers and emergency situations
Avoiding and Minimizing Collisions
Automobile Insurance
Alcohol, prescription drugs and driving
Trip Planning/Using a road map

Please note: Beginning September 1, 2007, the number of required in-car driving lessons will
increase from four to six. This will increase operating costs which in turn requires that
we increase our fee. The fee will increase from $300 to $350. However, we plan to continue the 10%
discount for on-line registration. This will increase the on-line registration from $270 to
$315.
